Top Fashion Designers Recently Cut Down Prices of their Luxuries

To the common, knowledgeable customer’s advantage, top and popular fashion designers are responding to the decline in normal purchases, by cutting down the prices of their otherwise luxury products. Specifically, Vera Wang and her endowed team of designers are now confronting the effects of global economic recession on their fashion houses by favoring their customers. Vera, distinguished for her almost ten thousand dollars wedding gowns, have reduced the average retail prices for her wedding wear, by close to a 1/3 as buyers become more serious on their expenditures.

Additionally, coach Inc, is selling most of its handbags for less than three hundred dollars while Saks Inc sent off its executives to Europe to help the suppliers implement cost effective strategies for production on its stores. As you can see, some of these prestigious companies are now looking for means of reducing their overall cost of production and creating products of simpler designs made of cheap materials. As Michael Fink, a consultant at New York State and previous women’s fashion director for Saks Inc estimates, that the prices for luxury goods increased by ten percent and fifteen percent each year between 2005 and2007.

He continues to blame the dwindling economic changes for the reversing the recent past price trends. Although, this is the case, he asserts that some buyers will still go for the highest end luxury goods ranges. Additionally, according to Michael’s view, the biggest number of consumers will prefer cocktail dresses that cost anywhere above two thousand dollars and shoes at one thousand dollars.

As fashion designers embark on this move, they hope that the potential customers will be motivated to buy more new goods and in turn, the companies will grab and maintain their market share, Luca Solca, a luxury analyst, and based in London with Sanford C. Bernstein and Co, puts it. So the bottom line is about producing intelligent designs, at the lowest delivery time, at accessible places and reasonable prices, during these hard economic times.
